Guest Teacher means the teachers engaged on contract basis in the education department in the state of Haryana. They are appointed to solve the problem of teachers' shortage. They have been working in different government Schools. They were appointed in the year 2005. At that time Bhupinder Singh Hooda was Chief Minister. At that time nearly 15000 guest teachers were appointed in the state. There are three categories of these teachers i.e:-

PRT (Primary Teacher) /JBT (Junior Basic Teacher) - They have done (D. Ed) Diploma in Education or its equivalent course from any recognized University or Board are entitled to teach class 1 to 8.

TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher) - who have done B.Ed. degree and are entitled to teach classes 6 to 8.

PGT (Post Graduate Teachers) - who teaches class 9 to 12.

1. Female Guest Teacher Haryana 20 Casual leave Letter

Director Secondary Education Haryana has increased the casual leave of female guest teachers. DSE has issued notification regarding this on 12-09-2018. Prior to this they were entitled to have 15 Casual leaves in a calendar year. Here calendar year means a year which starts from the month of January and ends with the month of December. 2. Guest Teacher Salary / Pay Increment

Latest news and good news for guest teacher is that on 12-09-2018 Directorate School Education Haryana DSE issued official letter for their salary enhancement with immediate effect. Now Pay enhancement will be made twice a year form 01-01-2019. 1st salary enhancement will be made in the month of January and 2nd enhancement will be made in the month of July every year.

3. Guest Teacher Salary Amendment Circular 2018

On 12-09-2018 a letter was issued by Directorate of School Education DSE by which salary of the guest teachers was increased with immediate effect . On 10-10-2018 an amendment was made in the letter. It was decided by the authorities to increase the salary from 01-07-2018.

Probation Period For Punjab Government Employees will be of 3 or 2 Years

Probation Period Punjab Govt Employee

Probation period in Punjab for a government employee has been increased from 2 year to 3 years. This amendment was made in the Punjab Civil service rules on 5th October 2016. According to this amendment probation period for Punjab govt. employee will be three years instead of two years. amending the service rule the letter says that this rules will be applicable from the date of publication that is 5th October 2016. So according to this amendment all the future advertisements for the vacant post of any government service in Punjab will fall under three years of probation period.

Many of the government servants who have joined their duties prior to the this new amended rules on dated 5th October 2016 are aggrieved by the decision of their concerned department,  as their department increased their probation period from 2 to 3 years. But at the time of advertisement, probation period was of two years. When they got their appointment letter they were informed that their probation period will be of three years instead of two years. But this is totally illegal step.  

Many of the department sought clarification from the Punjab government about the duration of probation period one such clarification is as under-

In the Month of November 2012, HSTSB Haryana School Teacher Selection Board advertised the vacancy of 9870 JBT PRT (Primary Teacher). HSTSB advertised the vacancies in two categories vide advertisement number 2/2012 Category 1 and 2. One category belongs to Mewat Cadre and the other belongs to Rest of Haryana Cadre. Rest of Haryana cadre includes all the district of Haryana other than Mewat. Total 9870 posts were advertised. This recruitment took a long time for its completion as there were many court cases or civil writ petitions on the said advertisement. One of the case was related to the legality of HSTSB. The petitioner in his petition prayed in the Honorable Punjab and Haryana High court to cancel the board HSTSB. According to the petitioner the board was unconstitutional. But Honorable court dismissed his petition. Further more court cases were made on the advertisement and selection process of the teachers.

Selected Teacher Haryana whose selection list was declared by the Haryana School Teacher Selection Board HSTSB in the month of August 2014 during the Congress regime were eagerly watching at Punjab and Haryana High Court on 20 April 2017. On this day their case related to M.A. two marks or higher qualification marks was to be heard.  The case no. LPA 686-2016 was heard at the court. The honorable high court modified the stay order on selected teacher Haryana. The honorable court made the order that out of 9870 JBT PRT posts 54 posts should be preserved. The government can give joining letter to rest of the candidates.

11.05.2016 is vacated. The State of Haryana is directed to keep vacant 54 posts of
JBT so as to accommodate the appellant-writ petitioners in the event of acceptance of

The appointment shall be made strictly in order of merit but not beyond
the advertised posts.

 Prior to this there was stay on the joining of all the 9870 selected JBT teachers of Haryana.

After the honorable Punjab and Haryana High court had vacated the stay on joining of 9870 JBT teacher Haryana, the selected JBT teacher Haryana were called on CM Manohar Lal Katter residence at Chandigarh. Manohar Lal Khatter held a meeting with the selected JBT primary teaches of Haryana.

Haryana Education Minister Mr. Ram Bilas Sharma also told that a meeting would be held on  2017-04-23 of education department Haryana’s officials to make necessary preparations for giving stations or schools to selected JBT teacher Haryana.

On the other hand the school education department of Haryana has promoted 1177 trained graduate teachers TGT who have been working in government schools to the post of PGT post Graduate Teacher. All the TGT who were eligible on 1^st January 2017 have been promoted to the post of PGT Haryana.

In this meeting Chief Minister of Haryana Manohar Lal Khatter made a promise to the selected primary teachers JBT Teachers of Haryana. The CM promised that the government is waiting for the detailed order of  the court. When the government or education department Haryana gets this order they shall issue joining letter within 24 hours of receiving the same.

At this Rajender Sharma Vats, President of Patra Adhyapak Sangh Haryana PAS thanked the chief minister of Haryana as well as former OSD to CM Haryana Jawahar Yadav.

Latest News for CTET 2017 is that the CBSE has not published any notification regarding online application form of CTET 2017 Exam. It is possible that CBSE will announce the exam dates in the coming few weeks. Complete details for the CTET exam is as under:-

CTET

CTET stands for Central Teacher Eligibility Test. This test is conducted by CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education). National Council For Teacher Education (NCTE) made it compulsory to pass TET exam in order to become a teacher for class 1 to 8. NCTE made CTET exam (TET) compulsory under section 23 of Right to Education Act (RTE). NCTE states that it is mandatory to qualify Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) conducted by appropriate government. To become a primary teacher in the schools which are governed by Government of India, a candidate have to pass CTET. While the other schools which are governed by state govt. will consider the TET exam conducted by the state government. CTET or Central Teacher eligibility test is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education. This exam is conducted by the Government of India in accordance with the Guidelines/ notification framed by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

HTET 2019 Haryana TET Latest News - Exam Dates Changed

HTET stands for Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test. Latest news for is that this test is going to be held in the month of January 2019. You may read official notification about the said test on the official website that is www.htet.nic.in. This test is also known as Haryana TET. Earlier it was known as STET (State teacher eligibility test). But now the name and pattern of this examination has been changed from. This test is conducted by Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH). This test is going to be held in the month of January (5 and 6 January 2019) tentatively. It is conducted by the government once in a year. The next year in 2019 it will be again conducted in the month of November tentatively. Government will conduct the test on 5 and 6 January 2019. On line applications can be filled from November 2018.

Note:- Earlier exam dates for the test had been scheduled in November 2018, then it was postponed to December Now It will be held on 5th January 2019 and 6th January 2019. The changes in exam dates are due to examinations of HSSC (Haryana Staff Selection Commission )

HTET (Haryana teacher eligibility test) is for those who want to teach in government schools as well as in government aided and recognized schools. Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test is conducted via two modes :-

Modes of Test

Online Test- This is a computer based test (CBT).

Offline Test- Traditional type of test or Paper Based Test.

HTET 2019 examination has three levels:-

Level 1-

Level 1 is for those who want to teach 1st to 5th class(Primary Teacher). In some cases examination level 1 is for 1st to 8th class. In all over India a person who have passed elementary teacher training course or JBT/ D.ed / D. El. Ed. Are further required to pass TET level 1 examination. In the state of Haryana it is called HTET . Level 1 is formed for the candidates who want to become Primary Teachers.

Educational Qualifications-

Those candidates who wants to become PRT (For class 1st to 5th) should have the following minimum qualifications-
- Senior Secondary 10+2 (or its equivalent) with at minimum 50% marks and Passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2007 notified on 31 August, 2009.

The candidate should have passed senior secondary examination with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of two years diploma in education or by whatever name known in accordance with the NCTE regulation 2002
OR
Senior Secondary 10+2 (its equivalent) having at least 50% marks and passed/ appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
The candidate should have passed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed Or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Special Education.
Candidate should have passed graduation or appearing in final year of diploma in education.
Candidate should have passed HINDI/SANSKRIT at matric / senior secondary/ graduation/ post graduation level.

Level 2 –

Level 2 is for the candidates who wish to teach 6th to 10th classes. These teachers are called TGT. Here TGT means trained graduate teacher. To become a TGT or one has to pass B.Ed (Bachelor of education) After passing the B.Ed Degree one has to pass teacher eligibility test.
Educational Qualifications-
Those who wish to become a TGT will have to first pass B. Ed (Bachelor in Education). After acquiring the B. Ed degree or if a candidate is in the final year of the B.Ed course he may apply for Level 2. After passing Level 2 examination the candidate can further apply for the post of TGT . There are many subjects and subject combinations for which a TGT can teach. That is why there lies a difference in the educational qualification for level 2 examination. Eligibility

Level 3 -

Those who want to become PGT or Post Graduate teachers in Haryana government schools will have to pass level 3 of the said examination. They will be entitled to teach 10+1 and 10+2 classes.

Educational Qualifications-

If someone wants to teach classes 10+1 and 10+2, he has to pass master degree in the relevant subject. He has to acquire other qualifications according to the state government's service rules (that is revised time to time). A PGT can be of various subjects like Hindi, English, Mathematics, Geography, Sanskrit etc.
-Candidate must have passed Post graduation in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks.
- Must have passed B.Ed. from recognized university.
- Must have passed matric with Hindi / Sanskrit or Sr. Secondary / Graduation / Post Graduation with the subject Hindi
- He must posses consistent good academic record.

For only One paper it is INR 1000/- for unreserved categories and INR 500/- for reserved categories(SC and PH).
For Two papers it is INR 1800/- for unreserved categories and INR 900/- for reserved categories(SC and PH).

For Three papers it is INR 2400/- for unreserved categories and INR 1200/- for reserved categories(SC and PH).

Qualifying Marks : Minimum passing marks for the test is 60% or more. So as the candidate can be considered qualified.

Exam Syllabus

Paper I will be of 150 marks total. There will be five parts consisting 30 multiple choice questions. Each question will carry 1 mark. There will be no negative marking in Paper I.

i. Child Development And Pedagogy (30 MCQ's of 30 marks)
ii. Language I (30 MCQ's of 30 marks)
iii. Language II (30 MCQ's of 30 marks)
iv. Mathematics (30 MCQ's of 30 marks)
v. EVS or Environmental Studies (30 MCQ's of 30 marks)

Syllabus Paper II

Paper II is for those who intends to become a teacher of class vi to viii in government and government aided schools. This paper will also be of 150 total marks.
Syllabus and exam pattern is given below:-
i. Child Development And Pedagogy (30 MCQ's of 30 marks)
ii. Language I (30 MCQ's of 30 marks)
iii. Language II (30 MCQ's of 30 marks)
iv. Mathematics and Science Teacher - Maths and Science (60 MCQ's of 60 marks) / Social Studies and Social Science Teacher - Social Science
