HTET 2019 Haryana TET Latest News - Exam Dates Changed

HTET stands for Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test. Latest news for is that this test is going to be held in the month of January 2019. You may read official notification about the said test on the official website that is www.htet.nic.in. This test is also known as Haryana TET. Earlier it was known as STET (State teacher eligibility test). But now the name and pattern of this examination has been changed from. This test is conducted by Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH). This test is going to be held in the month of January (5 and 6 January 2019) tentatively. It is conducted by the government once in a year. The next year in 2019 it will be again conducted in the month of November tentatively. Government will conduct the test on 5 and 6 January 2019. On line applications can be filled from November 2018.

Note:- Earlier exam dates for the test had been scheduled in November 2018, then it was postponed to December Now It will be held on 5th January 2019 and 6th January 2019. The changes in exam dates are due to examinations of HSSC (Haryana Staff Selection Commission )

Tentative exam dates for the upcoming years are also announced  by Board of School Education Haryana, Bhiwani. As mentioned in the picture Letter below:-

HTET

HTET (Haryana teacher eligibility test) is for those who want to teach in government schools as well as in government aided and recognized schools. Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test is conducted via two modes :-

Modes of Test

Online Test- This is a computer based test (CBT).

Offline Test- Traditional type of test or Paper Based Test.

HTET 2019 examination has three levels:-

Level 1-

Level 1 is for those who want to teach 1st to 5th class(Primary Teacher). In some cases examination level 1 is for 1st to 8th class. In all over India a person who have passed elementary teacher training course or JBT/ D.ed / D. El. Ed. Are further required to pass TET level 1 examination. In the state of Haryana it is called HTET . Level 1 is formed for the candidates who want to become Primary Teachers.

Educational Qualifications-

Those candidates who wants to become PRT (For class 1st to 5th) should have the following minimum qualifications-
- Senior Secondary 10+2 (or its equivalent) with at minimum 50% marks and Passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2007 notified on 31 August, 2009.
OR
The candidate should have passed senior secondary examination with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of two years diploma in education or by whatever name known in accordance with the NCTE regulation 2002
OR
Senior Secondary 10+2 (its equivalent) having at least 50% marks and passed/ appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
The candidate should have passed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed Or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Special Education.
Candidate should have passed graduation or appearing in final year of diploma in education.
Candidate should have passed HINDI/SANSKRIT at matric / senior secondary/ graduation/ post graduation level.

Level 2 –

Level 2 is for the candidates who wish to teach 6th to 10th classes. These teachers are called TGT. Here TGT means trained graduate teacher. To become a TGT or one has to pass B.Ed (Bachelor of education) After passing the B.Ed Degree one has to pass teacher eligibility test.
Educational Qualifications-
Those who wish to become a TGT will have to first pass B. Ed (Bachelor in Education). After acquiring the B. Ed degree or if a candidate is in the final year of the B.Ed course he may apply for Level 2. After passing Level 2 examination the candidate can further apply for the post of TGT . There are many subjects and subject combinations for which a TGT can teach. That is why there lies a difference in the educational qualification for level 2 examination. Eligibility

Level 3 -

Those who want to become PGT or Post Graduate teachers in Haryana government schools will have to pass level 3 of the said examination. They will be entitled to teach 10+1 and 10+2 classes.

Educational Qualifications-

If someone wants to teach classes 10+1 and 10+2, he has to pass master degree in the relevant subject. He has to acquire other qualifications according to the state government's service rules (that is revised time to time). A PGT can be of various subjects like Hindi, English, Mathematics, Geography, Sanskrit etc.
-Candidate must have passed Post graduation in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks.
- Must have passed B.Ed. from recognized university.
- Must have passed matric with Hindi / Sanskrit or Sr. Secondary / Graduation / Post Graduation with the subject Hindi
- He must posses consistent good academic record.

HTET 2019 Application Form

Application fees  revised from time to time
For only One paper it is INR 1000/- for unreserved categories and INR 500/- for reserved categories(SC and PH).
For Two papers it is INR 1800/- for unreserved categories and INR 900/- for reserved categories(SC and PH).
For Three papers it is INR 2400/- for unreserved categories and INR 1200/- for reserved categories(SC and PH).

Qualifying Marks : Minimum passing marks for the test is 60% or more. So as the candidate can be considered qualified.

Exam Syllabus

Paper I will be of 150 marks total. There will be five parts consisting 30 multiple choice questions. Each question will carry 1 mark. There will be no negative marking in Paper I.

i. Child Development And Pedagogy (30 MCQ's of 30 marks)
ii. Language I (30 MCQ's of 30 marks)
iii. Language II (30 MCQ's of 30 marks)
iv. Mathematics (30 MCQ's of 30 marks)
v. EVS or Environmental Studies (30 MCQ's of 30 marks)

Syllabus Paper II

Paper II is for those who intends to become a teacher of class vi to viii in government and government aided schools. This paper will also be of 150 total marks.
Syllabus and exam pattern is given below:-
i. Child Development And Pedagogy (30 MCQ's of 30 marks)
ii. Language I (30 MCQ's of 30 marks)
iii. Language II (30 MCQ's of 30 marks)
iv. Mathematics and Science Teacher - Maths and Science (60 MCQ's of 60 marks) / Social Studies and Social Science Teacher - Social Science
